About the Memorial page for Mastines that have passed on... I do know 'quite many' wonderful mastines that have left us, but I think the owners/breeders should be the ones adding photos to the 'memorial album'
Hi Jenny, Sorry to hear about the problems with your mastín puppy. Maybe you should post your message in the forum under health also...here in the chat box visitors may miss your message (when new messages are added)... I hope someone has any good advice for your little girl!
I have a Mastine 6 months old puppy girl. She is a darling, we have had her since she was 4 1/2 weeks old. She is very large for her age and seems to be growing too quickly for her body to keep up. She is in pain for most if not all of the time and limps badly on one of her back legs and I think one of her front also though not so badly. She is taking Cosequin and is fed a special diet for giant puppies that should help with her growth needs.
My vet has xrayed her hip and said that she has a displaced hip Scale one out of four in severity that may improve with the tablets . Some days she really struggles to stand up and limps badly for most of the time. Could someone with some experience of these things give some advice I am very worried for her future.
